Initially it was a strange sight for people in Thiruvananthapuram, a foreigner walking around sticking bills all over the place. But when they got to know his story, many joined him, in his search and to spread the word across.
Andrew Jordan, an Irish national has been frantically searching for his wife Liga Skromane, 33, who went missing in Kerala's Kovalam last week.
Liga had come to Kerala with her sister Ilze Skromane for Ayurvedic treatment for post-traumatic depression but went missing from Thiruvananthapuram since March 14.
The Latvian national is said to have left the Ayurvedic center to buy cigarettes, and never came back.
Since then Ilze and Andrew have been running from pillar to post looking for some information on Liga.
The family is now offering a reward of Rs 1,00,000 for information on Liga but to no avail.
Police too, so far hasn't been able to come up with any breakthrough in the case.
"I was told by the police that my wife was last spotted by locals on March 18. I checked with locals and they could even identify her by her clothes. The description matched. We need help to locate her," Andrew said.
Meanwhile there were reports of an unidentified body of a foreigner recovered from a beach in Thiruvananthapuram.
The family, however, said it wasn't Liga as she did not have any tattoos on her, but the recovered body had.
