9 Best Reasons why Hyderabad is Amazing!

Hyderabad has been considered as the best city to live in India, according to the Times Of India. Being a Hyderabadi, I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the city after the state’s partition. It has only been a year since the separation, so calm your glands and watch out! Nevertheless, Hyderabad remains amazing. Also, it is not and it never was about Andhra Pradesh or  Telangana for us Hyderabadis. It’s about being a Hyderabadi.

So here is why I am proud of being a Hyderabadi and what makes Hyderabad so amazing to live in! Do take a moment and read on these 9 reasons why Hyderabad is amazing:




1) Cosmopolitan 

Being cosmopolitan in nature, Hyderabad is suitable for a person from any part of India. You will find colonies of Gujarati, Marwari, Sindhi and many other regional backgrounds in Hyderabad. So any person who comes to Hyderabad will feel at home in a very short time. Also, Hyderabadis are very helpful and you will often find any person ready to give you directions or help an old woman cross a road.



2) Historic Value

The city of Nizams, Hyderabad is rich in historical heritage. Taramati baradari, Charminar, Falaknuma Palace, and Chowmala Palace are a few historic spots. It also houses the Salarjung Museum famous for Veiled Rebecca. There are several famous placed of religious importance like Birla Mandir, Mecca Masjid, and the Spanish Church,




3) Ramoji Filmcity 

Well, one of the coolest part about Hyderabad is Ramoji Filmcity. Commonly associated with movie shootings, it is also a holiday spot. It is the world’s largest integrated film studio.

Built on 1666 acres of Nizam war land, Ramoji Filmcity is proved to be haunted by the dead soldiers of the war. A huge number of paranormal experiences have been reported by people who stayed in the hotels over night.  So do visit this place if you are a daredevil!




 4) Foodie’s Paradise 

Hyderabad is truly the best place to live in for a food lover. All Hyderabadis are known to be spicy food lovers! So when your hunger pangs hit, be sure that there will be some fast food center or a restaurant nearby which won’t let you go to bed hungry! And the good news is, they’re all easy on your pocket!

Therefore, this is an undeniable fact that food here is amazing  when it houses places like Paradise (famous for biryani) and Pista House (famous for Haleem)..



5) IT Hub

Known as the Silicon and Genome Valley of India, Hyderabad has well-known IT and biotechnology firms. Hyderabad being one of the largest IT hubs in India has HITEC city dedicated to its IT industry. Also, Facebooks first office in Asia had been set up in Hyderabad.



6) Educational & Sports Hub

Hyderabad boasts of premiere institutions of India like the IIT, BITS,  Gandhi Medical College, NALSAR etc. And who says Hyderabad disregards any career path apart from engineering and medical? FYI, Hyderabad also has management institutes like ISB, IBS and also arts and commerce colleges like IIMC and St. Francis to name a few!

Also, Saina Nehwal, Diana Hayden, Satya Nadella and Sania Mirza, who made India proud were born and brought up in Hyderabad.  Hyderabad has seen a lot of immigrants from various places who come here for education purpose.


7) Hyderabadi Hindi

Famous for its slang, Hyderabadi Hindi is a mixture of Urdu, Hindi, English, and Telugu. This language is very quirky and funny. Words like ‘miyan’, ‘light lo’, ‘baigan’, ‘chicha’, and ‘yaaron’ make this language amusing and cool.

Typical Hyderabadi language and culture is very well depicted in movies like Angrez, and Hyderabadi Nawabs.

8) Shopping 

Hyderabad has nice shopping places like too! From street shopping, exclusive brands showroom, malls to chor bazaar.. Hyderabad has got it all! It also has Jagdish market in Abids famous for all kinds of mobile accessories, first hand and second-hand mobile phones..

So whats missing in Hyderabad? Literally nothing!




9) Cost of Living

In spite of having all necessary facilities and a standard lifestyle, the cost of living in Hyderabad is very cheap and affordable. Unlike other metro cities of India, Hyderabad is safer and cheaper with good opportunities in every sector.
