The tomb of Sikander Lodhi was built by his son 'Ibrahim lodhi' in 1517. Sikander Lodhi reigned as the sultan of Delhi from the period of 1489 A.D. to 1517 A.D.

He has been generally regarded as the Greatest Sultan of the Lodi dynasty.he was a great conqueror and a very good administrator.he took effective administrative steps for effective management & also did a lot for the welfare of the poor people.

Sikander Lodhi was the one who ordered to build a city which is presently known by the name of Agra..Sikander Lodhi was also fond of poetry and wrote a poetry book in Persian language with 9000 verses.
