Haryana to Set Up Women Police Stations on Raksha Bandhan



Good News For The Women Of Haryana! 

On July 31st 2015, the Haryana government announced that it will set up women police stations in all 21 districts of the state simultaneously on August 29, marking the Raksha Bandhan festival. 

These building would be separate from that of main police stations to make them more visible to the public said a government spokesman later.

Each women police station would have one lady deputy superintendent of police, two sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors, four head constables and 16 constables. The women police stations will have one lady deputy superintendent of police, two sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors, four head constables and 16 constables. 

All the women police stations in the 21 districts will have jeep and motorbikes at their disposal with women police drivers. Also all 35 women PCRs would be attached to the women police stations. 

For the betterment of the safety of women, we hope that more women police stations are set up in other states!
